Can I breastfeed my baby with wet hair?
Babies will catch the cold, when there is an acquired viral or bacterial infection. Common cold can be caused by more types of viruses.
Viruses are transmitted through babies eyes, mouth or nose by the infected the persons.
When someone who is infected sneezes or coughs when the baby is around there is a high chance of transmitting the infection. By touching the baby also transmission can happen.
There is no correlation between feeding the baby with wet hair and the baby catches cold.
So take precaution if you’re having a cold, by wearing a mask and follow proper hand washing hygiene when handling the baby.
